Pittsburgh Regional Transit on Monday will offer no rail service in Downtown Pittsburgh as crews repair overhead electrical lines.
Regular service is expected to resume Tuesday morning.
Inbound rail service will end Monday at Penn Station. a seldom-used stop behind The Pennsylvanian building across from the Greyhound station.
The transit authority urged riders traveling further inbound to exit at Penn Station and use a shuttle bus, which will take riders along Liberty Avenue to Gateway Station.
The shuttle will offer stops at and across the street from Wood Street Station.
Rail service will resume from Gateway to the North Side and Allegheny Stations.
Wood Street Station will be closed Monday.
Riders traveling from the North Shore will see service end at Gateway Station. People continuing toward the South Hills can exit at Gateway and take a shuttle bus to Penn Station. From there, they can catch outbound trains.
Officials urged riders to allow for at least 20 minutes of additional travel time Monday.
