Pittsburgh residents encouraged to put garbage, recycling out for collection Wednesday
Pittsburgh officials are encouraging residents whose garbage and recycling has not yet been collected to leave their materials at the curb for collection Wednesday.
Mayor Bill Peduto vented his frustration on the collection service delay Tuesday.
“I am beyond disappointed that homes still have not had their garbage and recycling collected from over the Christmas holiday weekend,” Peduto said. “I have delivered a clear directive to Department of Public Works officials to rectify this unacceptable situation by prioritizing all outstanding uncollected routes first thing Wednesday morning.”

Crews will work to collect all final outstanding routes tomorrow morning. https://t.co/cAsCw157FX
