Pittsburgh Rite Aid robbed, search for suspect underway
Pittsburgh Police are investigating an armed robbery of a Rite Aid pharmacy Downtown.
Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said officers responded to the call around 8:30 p.m. Monday along the 100 block of Forbes Avenue.
Police described the suspect as a man dressed in all black and wearing a ski mask.
He threatened staff with a knife and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash from a safe, Cruz reported.
The suspect fled and no injuries were reported.
Detectives are reviewing all available video footage. The investigation is ongoing.
