Pittsburgh teen charged in double shooting outside Kennedy bowling alley
A Pittsburgh teen was charged Sunday with shooting two people, one fatally, on Saturday night outside a bowling alley in Kennedy Township.
Allegheny County Police arrested Malik Smith, 19, of Pittsburgh during an investigation into the double shooting, which happened just before 10:30 p.m. at the Kennedy Lanes bowling alley on Pine Hollow Road.
Kennedy Township police responded to find a male and female victim who were taken to area hospitals. The woman was later pronounced dead. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner has identified the dead woman as 35-year-old Deprincess Perkins.
The man is in stable condition, according to county officials.
County police said an argument that began in the bowling alley escalated in the parking lot, where shots were fired. Smith was identified as a suspect and later arrested.
He is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault and carrying a firearm without a license, police said. He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
