Garden Club of Oakmont plant sale

The Garden Club of Oakmont’s annual plant sale will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7 at Hoffstot’s Cafe Monaco, 533 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont.

Hanging baskets, annuals and perennials, lettuce and herb bowls and one-of-a-kind flower-filled containers will be available, just in time for Mother’s Day. Flowers will be sold by the flat or market pack.

The From Our Own Gardens section is returning, and offerings should be even more plentiful than usual after a two-year hiatus.

The mostly perennial plants are grown and have thrived in Western Pennsylvania.

Additionally, the Lions Club of Oakmont will be at the event selling brooms.

Purchases support the plantings and hanging baskets that help keep Oakmont beautiful.

Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.

Please observe all covid-19 prevention protocols in effect at the time of the sale.
