Holiday Park Elementary students will be learning remotely today and Friday due to several covid cases, Plum School District officials announced.

Seven students and two teachers recently tested positive for the virus, requiring 23 people to quarantine, according to a notice sent to families.

All building activities have been canceled until Monday so the district can contract trace and clean.

Food service will continue this week. Meals are available from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the high school. Email grasingerd@pbsd.net for meal pickup.

Parents of children experiencing any symptoms of covid should contact their healthcare provider and notify the school nurse, officials said.

Information about covid exposure can be found on the Allegheny County Health Department’s website.

“We will keep our families informed of any new situation that arises to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of our school community,” the district announcement read. “The health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority.”
