Council leadership set

Oakmont council voted at its June 6 workshop meeting to appoint Nancy Ride as president and Tracey Holst as vice president.

Council reorganized after Patricia Friday was appointed to fill the council vacancy of Lindsay Osterhout, who served as president prior to her resignation from council.

Councilwoman Jamie Leonardi was named president pro tempore.

Father’s Day car show

Oakmont Lions Club’s annual Father’s Day car show will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 18th at Riverside Park in Oakmont.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the show, which features antique, classic and customer cars. A food truck and music will be featured.

Proceeds from the show benefit Lions’ vision-related causes.

Plum Class of ’63 reunion

Plum High School Class of 1963 will hold a reunion on Sept. 2 at John Anthony’s Restaurant, 115 Center New Texas Road, Plum.

The event begins at 4 p.m. and continues until a specified time. Attendees are requested to reserve their spots by July 15. The cost per person is $40.
