Unity Golden Age Club, Inc. will meet at noon Sept. 20 at Unity Community Church Cafe, 215 Unity Center Road in Plum. Dessert, coffee and tea will be served. The program is Patriotism in Action.

Women’s Business Network

Women’s Business Network is an award-winning business association that supports the success and growth of women in business. WBN provides members with the tools to be successful.

All professional women are welcome to attend as a guest at a meeting for no cost. Some meetings are being held virtually. Please check with the local chapter representative for more information. To learn more, visit wbninc.com.

The Monroeville Chapter holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 8:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Panera Bread, 400 Penn Center Blvd., Wilkins Township. For more information, contact Jo Luncher at 412-372-3411.

The Allegheny Valley Chapter meets twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 8 a.m. at Panera Bread at the Waterworks Mall, 942 Freeport Road, Pittsburgh. To RSVP or for more information, contact Susan Kinger at 412-782-4848.

The All Virtual Chapter holds regular meetings via Zoom on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Guests are welcome to attend at no cost. For more information, contact Jennifer Pasquale, at 412-908-1663.

Candidate fundraiser

A buffet dinner fundraiser for candidate Eric Casteel for Allegheny County Council District 8 is at 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 at Veltri’s Wedding and Event Center, 324 Coxcomb Hill Road in New Kensington.

The cost is $50 per person, and proceeds will help cover the cost for the dinner and support Eric Casteel’s candidacy.To RSVP, donate, or for more information, call 412 726 3547 or email dmajernik@verizon.net.

Speakers at the event will be Casteel, County Councilwoman Cindy Kirk and County Chairman and Councilman Sam DeMarco.

Oakmont library programs

Oakmont Carnegie Library offers a variety of free online programs. Director Beth Mellor hosts Tuesday Morning YouTube Storytime on Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m.

Plum’s Monday Market

The Monday Market is every Monday through Oct. 25 from 3 to 7 p.m. There is no market on Labor Day.

The Market is located at Plum Creek Park (Plum Baseball Fields), 1040 Ross Hollow Road.
