Committee to meet
Plum Republican Committee will meet Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. at Palmieri’s Restaurant, 951 Old Frankstown Road.
Guest speaker will be Frank Gamrat, executive director of the Allegheny Institute for Public Policy.
The meeting is open to all registered Republicans and serves as a forum to meet with candidates, discuss issues, exchange ideas and enjoy fellowship.

Oakmont is hiring seasonal parks and recreation help.
The job is March through November for 40 hours a week at $16.50 per hour.

Oakmont library pickup service restored
Oakmont Carnegie Library at 700 Allegheny River Blvd. has restored its pickup service after being temporarily closed due to a staffer testing positive for covid-19 in January.
Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Evening hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m.

Plum library curbside service available
Plum Community Library at 445 Center-New Texas Road offers curbside pickup Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Glass recycling slated
Oakmont will host three glass recycling events this year. They are planned for April 12-23, Aug. 9-20 and Dec. 6-17.
Unbagged glass bottles, jars and jugs will be accepted.
Cut glass, stemware, glass bakeware, porcelain ceramics, window glass, light bulbs, TVs and monitors will not be accepted.
