Alexa Verrico has been tapped as Plum’s new buildings and grounds supervisor.

A Plum resident, she’ll be responsible for managing the borough’s public works crews; taking care of area parks; and upkeeping borough-owned facilities, such as the Plum Community Library and Plum Community Center.

She’ll report to the borough’s director of public works, Bill Binnie.

Verrico said she is looking forward to starting her new role.

“I hope to treat Plum as well as Plum has treated me,” she said.

Verrico will replace John Schultz, who had served as supervisor since 2022. Plum Council voted to terminate Schultz at its August meeting.
