Plum presents a Will Ferrell comedy classic for this month's Movies in the Park series at Larry Mills Park
Plum’s Movies in the Park series returns to Larry Mills Park this weekend.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to watch the Will Ferrell soccer comedy “Kicking and Screaming” at the park off Fontana Drive on Saturday night.
Gates open at 7 p.m. with the movie to start at dusk.
The movie shows how family man Phil Weston, a lifelong victim of his father’s competitive nature, takes on the coaching duties of a kids’ soccer team. He soon finds out that he’s also taking on his father’s dysfunctional way of relating.
Hollywood legend Robert Duvall and actors Josh Hutcherson and Kate Walsh also star. NFL Hall of Famer Mike Ditka puts in a tremendous performance as himself.
Plum Rotary will supply free popcorn. There will be children’s activities and movie trivia prior to the film screening.
