A group of Plum Borough School District students who successfully auditioned for roles in district music groups were honored for their efforts.
The group was awarded certificates by the high school band, orchestra and choir teachers — Bethany Loy, Andrew Bronkaj and John DeLuce.
“I could not be more proud of the work (Loy, Bronkaj and DeLuce) have put in every single day when (they) work for these kids,” said Brendan Hyland, Plum superintendent.
The different bands, orchestras and choirs all have performed with the Alle-Kiski Honors Band. A total of 19 students made the Alle-Kiski Honors Band from Plum Borough.
“It’s wonderful that the school board and the administration take the time to recognize the students on their hard work,” said DeLuce.
