A North Versailles man is accused of fatally shooting a man in Wilmerding on Thursday morning, Allegheny County Police said.

The suspect, Jason E. Grubb, 47, was arrested at a family member’s residence in the Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood around 1:30 p.m. and was taken to Allegheny County Jail, police said.

Pitcairn police were notified at 10:23 a.m. of the shooting in the 700 block of Middle Avenue. They found Edwin R. Green, 47, of Verona, suffering from a gunshot to the abdomen. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Grubb was transported to the Allegheny County Jail on charges of criminal homicide, recklessly endangering another person, and carrying a firearm without a license, police said.
