A man was hospitalized with stab wounds Friday evening and another was arrested in connection with an incident near the Greyhound bus station in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Public Safety officials said officers were dispatched for reports of a stabbing around 6:45 p.m. Friday near the intersection of 11th and Liberty avenues.
Responders found a man with a stab wound to his arm and a wound to the back of the head. Officers applied a tourniquet to his arm until medics arrived.
The man was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
Officials said a second man was apprehended by police inside the station without incident. The suspect is expected to be taken to the Allegheny County Jail after being treated at a hospital for a hand injury.
Officials said the men were allegedly involved in an argument inside the bus station before moving out onto the sidewalk where the stabbing occurred. No further information was available.
