Police: Man dead after shooting in Pittsburgh's Brighton Heights neighborhood

Pittsburgh police are investigating a fatal shooting overnight in Pittsburgh’s Brighton Heights neighborhood.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Termon Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. Monday for reported shots fired, according to public safety Spokeswoman Cara Cruz.

The victim, identified as a young adult male, was found inside the doorway of a residence with a gunshot wound to his chest, Cruz said. He was pronounced dead on scene.

Evidence was processed by detectives from major crimes and the crime scene unit.

The investigation is ongoing.
