Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting in Spring Hill.

Public Safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 2:30 p.m. along the 100 block of Rhine Place.

While officers investigated the scene, a gunshot wound victim walked into a hospital, Matthews reported.

Matthews said the victim was transported by private means.

Police at Rhine Place found evidence of a shooting inside a hallway.

No other injuries were reported, and no suspect description was immediately released. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the shooting can contact Pittsburgh police at 412-323-7800.
