Police: 15-year-old boy shot in Homestead

A teenage boy was shot late Friday in Homestead, authorities said.

The 15-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to the upper arm and is in stable condition, according to Allegheny County police.

Emergency crews were called at 10:45 p.m. to the intersection of 11th Ave and Amity Street where they found spent shell casings on the ground but could not locate the victim.

At about 1 a.m., police were notified that the boy was being treated at a local hospital.
