A delivery driver was reported in serious but stable condition after being shot Monday night in Pittsburgh’s Brighton Heights neighborhood during an apparent robbery and attempted carjacking, Pittsburgh police said.

The man was found around 10:20 p.m. in the 1700 block of Marmaduke Street with a gunshot wounds to his leg and groin, police said. He was transported to an area hospital after police had applied tourniquets until medics arrived and transported him to an area hospital.

The police found the man when they responded to reports of shots being fired in the that section of Marmaduke Street.

Police said they are seeking as many as three suspects who were believed to have ran from the area.

The department’s crime scene unit processed evidence at the scene and detectives from the major crimes unit are investigating.
