Police found a dead man inside a Clairton home Monday night but do not suspect foul play.

Allegheny County Police said they were dispatched around 11 p.m. Monday to the 400 block of 5th Street after someone called 911 about finding “human remains.”

Police said early indications show “no obvious signs of foul play.”

A police spokesman Tuesday declined to provide details about the corpse’s condition or where it was found in the home.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the dead man and report on his cause and manner of death, the spokesman said.

Detectives are investigating.

Anyone with information can call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
