Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead Friday afternoon inside a McKeesport home, police said.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Stephen Rucinski, 41.

Police were called to the 2900 block of Grover Avenue around 4:40 p.m. after 911 dispatchers reported “a male down in a house,” according to Allegheny County Police.

Rucinski was pronounced dead in his residence at 4:47 p.m., the medical examiner’s records show.

Local officers requested the assistance of Allegheny County’s homicide unit.

No further information regarding the circumstances of Rucinski’s death were immediately available from officials.

The medical examiner has not yet released an official cause or manner of death.

Allegheny County detectives urged anyone with information to call their tipline at 1-833-255-8477 (1-833-ALL-TIPS). Tips can also be sent via the county police’s Twitter and Facebook pages.
