A man was shot in the face and shoulder in Pittsburgh’s Elliot neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

Spokesman Maurice Matthews said officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for the 700 block of Lorenz Avenue around 3:10 p.m.

Officers found multiple shell casings along the street, but no victim.

City EMS were then flagged down on the West End Bridge and located a man inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information was released.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Pittsburgh police at 412-323-7800.
