Police: Man in critical condition, 2 others taken to hospital, after shooting in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood

A man is in critical condition, and two others were taken to the hospital, following a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood Wednesday night, police said.

Pittsburgh police and EMS responded to the 1600 block of Brownsville Road around 11 p.m. where they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety Spokesman Maurice Matthews. The man was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

At the same time, officers were called to the 1600 block of Concordia Street for reports of two men with head injuries. The men told police they were both pistol whipped on the 1600 block of Brownsville Road. They were transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The scene was processed by detectives and the mobile crime unit.

Officers are investigating.
