Police: Man shot in the face in Clairton

A man shot in the face in Clairton is expected to survive, according to Allegheny County Police.

Officers responded to the intersection of Holcomb Avenue and Wood Alley for a shooting around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday.

First responders found a man with a gunshot wound to the face.

Police said the victim was transported to an area hospital. They described the injury as non-fatal.

No description of possible suspects was released. Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
