Two Pittsburgh residents have been taken in to custody on attempted homicide charges in connection with a November incident involving an infant.
City police have charged Teshawn Ahkir Williams, 24, and Tamaya Harris, 25, with endangering the welfare of children, criminal attempt homicide and aggravated assault, Public Safety spokeswoman Amanda Mueller reported.
Charges stem from an incident Nov. 25.
Pittsburgh police responded to a local hospital for an infant with injuries consistent with shaking. The baby was in critical condition.
Mueller said the city’s special victims unit determined the injuries occurred while the infant was in the care of Williams and Harris.
They both turned themselves into police and were taken to the Allegheny County Jail. No further information was released Thursday.
