A man is in custody after police say he robbed Downtown Pittsburgh bank Tuesday morning and used a bus as his getaway vehicle, Public Safety Spokesperson Amanda Mueller said.
Mueller said police responded to a reported robbery on the 300 block of Fourth Avenue at 9:16 a.m.
The suspect said he had a gun and demanded money, but no weapon was seen, she said.
Police said the suspect fled the scene by getting on a bus. Police caught up with him and he was taken into custody in the midtown area, she said.
The investigation is still developing and charges are pending, Mueller said.
