Vandergrift police said Thursday they were seeking the public’s help to locate an 85-year-old man last seen Wednesday.
Robert W. Horner, 85, of Vandergrift’s Emerson Street, is believed to have left his residence between 2 and 4 p.m., according to police. Police said they believe he was driving a white 2015 Dodge Dart with the Pennsylvania plate KTT-3904 and had his black dog Shadow with him. The car has a broken and taped roof-top radio antenna, police said.
Vandergrift police said Horner’s debit card was used about 9 p.m. Wednesday at a Speedway gas station in Uniontown.
His family told police Horner requires daily medications, but he doesn’t have them with him.
Horner moved to Vandergrift last week from Dayton in Armstrong County. Family members told police he has recently been experiencing confusion.
He is 6 feet tall with blue eyes and gray hair, and he wears glasses and has a heart-shaped tattoo on his upper left arm. Police asked anyone with information about Horner’s whereabouts to call 911.
