A female suspect is in custody after a stabbing left a male victim dead early Sunday in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, according to city police.

Police said Angela Stewart, 34, was charged with homicide and is being held at the Allegheny County Jail.

The stabbing was reported shortly after 4 a.m. and stemmed from a domestic dispute in the 2100 block of Bedford Avenue, police said.

Officers found the victim, suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest, outside a home. In critical condition, he was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, where he died a short time later, according to police.

The suspect was being questioned at police headquarters, and charges are pending, police said.

Additional details were not immediately available.
