A suspected Pittsburgh drug dealer out on state parole was arrested Wednesday after Allegheny County detectives discovered narcotics at his Spring Hill home.

Vaughn Malone, 33, was taken into custody as part of an ongoing investigation by city and county police, Allegheny County Police Inspector Michael Peairs reported.

Officers executed a search warrant at Malone’s apartment along the 2100 block of Rhine Street on Wednesday.

Peairs said they recovered about 64 grams of cocaine, nearly 12 grams of crystal methamphetamine, close to $14,000 in cash and two pistols including one gun that was reported stolen.

Currently on state parole for an earlier incident, Malone is suspected of selling cocaine out of the residence.

He’s charged with four counts of possession of controlled substances, three counts of possession with intent to deliver, receiving stolen property and illegally possessing a gun.

Malone’s preliminary hearing’s scheduled for Sept. 16 at Pittsburgh Municipal Court, according to online court documents.

Anyone with information concerning illegal drug trafficking is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Tipline at 1-833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
