Driver charged in Homewood hit and run
Pittsburgh police have charged an East Hills woman for a hit and run Thursday night that sent one woman to the hospital, authorities said.
Rochell Brewton, 23, will be charged via summons with causing an accident that resulted in injury while not licensed, police said.
The incident happened just after 7 p.m. on Frankstown Avenue in the city’s Homewood section. The victim was originally reported to be a teenage girl, but police later indicated the person struck was a 35-year-old woman.
The driver, later identified as Brewton, took after after she hit the woman, who suffered a concussion, police said. She was confused but transported to the hospital in stable condition.
