Police: Teen shot in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood Wednesday

An 18-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood Wednesday.

Public Safety spokesperson Cara Cruz said officers were dispatched shortly before 5:10 p.m. to the 70 block of Rochelle Street for two Shotspotter alerts.

Police found the teen with a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers applied a tourniquet until EMS arrived. He was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

No information about possible suspects as released. Anyone with information about the shooting should contact Pittsburgh police at 412-323-7800.
