Pittsburgh police: Missing Braddock girl found safe Saturday

A 17-year-old girl with Down syndrome who went missing after she was dropped off early Friday morning at Sto-Rox High School has been found safe, Allegheny County Police said Saturday afternoon.

The girl, Kayla Durler, of Braddock, was last seen at a nearby bus stop in Stowe shortly before 10 a.m.

County police said she was seen in a photograph taken at 10:15 a.m. Friday on Stanwix Street in downtown Pittsburgh. Police believe she took a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus from the school in Stowe Township to Downtown.

In their tweet, Pittsburgh police did not other details about were she was found Downtown. She was being evaluated by medics.

Allegheny County police said in a statement that there is no evidence to suggest anything criminal happened while Durler was deemed missing.
