After days of patchy service because of Sunday’s winter storm, Pittsburgh Regional Transit says bus and rail service throughout the region is almost fully restored.
The announcement comes after snowplows and dump trucks cleared what PRT called “problem areas” throughout the system, the agency said in a social media post.
On Wednesday, PRT said it could not make all the stops on more than a dozen of its routes.
But as of Thursday morning, that number was down to two.
PRT said buses still can’t make stops in the Fineview area of the North Side on its 11 line or the Terrace and Allequippa stops on the 83 line, which goes from Downtown through the Hill District and Oakland to the South Side.
Rail service, though briefly disabled by a power line collapse Wednesday morning, is also back to normal, PRT said.
“Thank you to our crews who have worked tirelessly to restore operations and improve access systemwide,” the post said.
