The Raging Rapids isn’t going away after all.
Kennywood Park announced Thursday that it will bring back the water-based ride in 2023.
“Over the next few weeks, teams will continue to break in and fine tune the ride’s new control system that was installed as part of its refurbishment project,” the park said in a social media post.
“Those refreshed boats look pretty snazzy, too! We’ll share the ride’s exact springtime reopening date once everything is good to go.”

There is no word from the park yet on whether the waterfall will return as well.
The ride’s reopening date hasn’t been announced.
Kennywood reopens for its 125th year on April 22.
