The fire at 165 E. Katherine Ave. was reported shortly after 6 a.m., a county 911 dispatcher said. Firefighters had it under control in about 40 minutes.

Washington County Coroner S. Timothy Warco identified one of the victims as Kenneth Guy III, 39. His cause of death was pending an autopsy, and his manner of death was pending investigation, the corner said.

The other victim’s name has not been released.

No other injuries were reported, the dispatcher said.
