1 killed, 2 injured in Uniontown shooting

One person was killed and two others injured Sunday in a shooting in Uniontown.

The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. around Austin Street near Collins Avenue, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.

Fayette County Coroner Bob Baker identified the victim as Shaquisa Sims, 32, of Uniontown.

WTAE reported Jasmine Johnson, a friend of Sims, was shot in the wrist in the incident.

Andrew Howard, who authorities describe as Johnson’s boyfriend, also was shot in the incident, according to WTAE. Howard is facing criminal homicide charges in relation to Sunday’s shooting. It remains unclear how he was shot.
