A woman from Harmony died at the scene of a head-on crash in New Sewickley Township, Beaver County on Friday night, according to township police.

Police identified the victim as Denise Babyak, 68.

The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of Freedom Crider Road.

According to police, Babyak was heading west on Freedom Crider Road when the vehicle she was driving crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with another vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt, police said.

Weather and road conditions are not believed to have been a factor in causing the crash, police said. New Sewickley Township Police are continuing to investigate to determine the cause.
