One person was killed in a New Castle house fire Sunday, Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV reported.
Firefighters responded to the 1700 block of Gretchen Avenue around 2 p.m. for reports a woman could be trapped inside the building. Fire officials quickly put out the fire, but an elderly woman was killed, according to officials.
The woman’s identity has not yet been released.
