Two people were flown to a hospital after a multivehicle crash at 1:24 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 79 North in Washington County.

The crash occurred near mile marker 45.8, between Exit 45, Canonsburg, and Exit 48, Southpointe/Hendersonville, according to 511PA.

Traffic reportedly was backed up for miles.
