Three people from Butler County were killed on Saturday evening in a single-vehicle car crash in Crawford County.

Pennsylvania State Police said that a 2008 Scion TC, driven by Ronald J. Parisi, 21, of Chicora was traveling east on Centerville Road in Athens Township when it went off the road and struck a tree around 8:10 p.m.

Parisi was killed, as was Joshua R. Boettner, 19, of Butler. A 17-year-old passenger from Butler, who was not identified by state police, was also killed.

The backseat passenger was ejected from the vehicle.

None of the three people in the car were wearing seat belts, state police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
