A 93-year-old woman has died at a Pittsburgh hospital after being injured in a crash Sunday afternoon in Washington County.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said Rose Marie Gillespie of Washington died shortly before 7 p.m. after being transported to the emergency room at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

The crash involving three vehicles was reported at about 2 p.m. at East Beau Street and Davis School Road in South Strabane.

South Strabane firefighters reported in a Facebook post that they freed one trapped motorist. According to firefighters, one person was flown to a Pittsburgh trauma center from the scene. Of two others who initially were taken by ambulance for treatment, one later was transferred by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital, firefighters said.

Conditions of the other injured motorists weren’t immediately available.
