A GoFundMe page was launched in memory of an Ambridge man who may have been electrocuted at an Ambridge pipe plant.
The page for David Bupp, 46, surpassed its $30,000 goal by about $1,300 Thursday evening.
More than 360 people donated. The funds will be used for funeral expenses and to help his daughters through college, according the post.
Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said the electrical worker came into contact with an electrical current along the 2000 block of Duss Avenue around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, and was transported to Heritage Valley Sewickley where he later died.
Harmony police and OSHA, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, are investigating.
Police said Bupp was working on a control panel box and later found lying on the ground.
Authorities said an autopsy’s scheduled for Friday to determine the cause and manner of death.
