A Ridgway man has died after his car struck a tractor-trailer truck late Wednesday afternoon.

Nathan Anthony Brown, 33, was killed at the intersection of Hoover Road and Route 28/66 in Boggs Township shortly before 5 p.m., according to Armstrong County Coroner Brian Myers’ report.

Brown was traveling northbound on the road in a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox when he crossed over the center line striking a 2025 Kenworth tractor-trailer rig. He was dead at the scene.

Myers’ report said an autopsy will not be performed. Toxicology results will not be available for several weeks and no funeral home had been chosen as of late Wednesday evening.

No further details were immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation by state police and the coroner’s office.

The road was reopened shortly before 9 p.m.
