Chipotle plans to hire about 200 new employees in Western Pennsylvania
Chipotle Mexican Grill says it plans to hire approximately 200 new employees from Western Pennsylvania next week.
The restaurant on Monday is hiring for positions ranging from crew members to general managers.
Interviewees must sign up in advance to schedule a 15-minute interview timeslot.
Covid-19 precautions will be in place during the hiring day event. This includes regulating the number of candidates per timeslot and sanitizing between interviews. Masks will be required.
People can also opt to have their interview at an outside patio table or curbside from their car if they prefer.
Jobs will be offered on the spot. Everyone who participates in an interview will receive a free burrito card.
The hiring event will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at all Chipotle restaurants in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky and West Virginia.
Chipotle opened 15 restaurants in 2020 so far and plans to open over 30 more before 2022. It also created 756 management promotions in the region already this year.
Chipotle says its benefits include a quarterly crew bonus that offers employees the opportunity to earn an extra month’s worth of pay annually. The chain also offers access to a free college education through a debt-free degree program and access to mental health care for employees and their families.
