Pennsylvania State Police in Uniontown and the Fayette County District Attorney’s office are investigating a fatal shooting Thursday night.

Police were called to Dunlap Street around 5 p.m., where they found 20-year-old Lemaur Thompson Jr., who they said had been shot while walking in the area.

He was taken to Uniontown Hospital, where later died, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.

A be-on-the-lookout message was circulated for 18-year-old Braedon M. Dickinson of Connellsville, according to Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele. He is charged with criminal homicide, robbery, reckless endangering and a related gun charge.

“We believe that he may be operating a blue-colored Jeep Compass. We believe he is armed and extremely dangerous,” Aubele told WTAE.

The district attorney said Thompson and Dickinson were familiar with each other, and advised the public not to approach Dickinson but to call 911 if he is seen.

Dickinson was in the Fayette County Prison in late December, stemming from two additional cases involving stolen property, fleeing from police and weapons charges, but made bail and was released Jan. 12, according to court records.
