Woman, 65, killed in vehicle-pedestrian accident in Fayette County

Fayette County officials reported a 65-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle in North Union Township Monday morning.

The coroner’s office identified the pedestrian as Amy Morris, 65, who lived in nearby Hillside Manor Personal Care Home on Oliver Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Officials responded to Main Street and Oliver Road after the accident was reported shortly after 6:30 a.m.

State police in Uniontown said the accident remains under investigation. No further information was available.
