Worthington man killed in 2-vehicle crash in Manor Township
Officials have identified a man killed Friday night in a two-vehicle accident along Route 66 in Manor Township.
The victim was Herbert Wagner, 76, of Worthington, according to Armstrong County Coroner Brian Myers.
Myers said an autopsy will be performed Monday.
Wagner was killed “when the vehicle he was driving pulled out of Fairground Road on to Route 66 and pulled in front of a pickup driven by an Evans City man” at about 7 p.m, according to Myers. Wagner was dead at the scene. Myers said he was not wearing a seat belt.
A county emergency dispatcher said another person was flown from the scene.
Myers said his office and Manor Township police continue to investigate.
In addition to township police and the coroner, also responding were police from the state and Kittanning, firefighters from Manor Township and Ford City, a Ford City ambulance, and PennDOT.
Attempts to obtain further information from Manor Township and state police on Saturday were unsuccessful.
