A Portersville, Butler County, man pleaded guilty in federal district court Pittsburgh to a drug conspiracy involving 11 people associated with the GBK drug gang.

Raymond Chrzanowski, age 51, pleaded guilty Monday to three counts.

He is accused in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine, and heroin, according to U.S. Attorney Scott W. Brady. Records show he was facing six charges until he changed his plea from not guilty to guilty.

According to prosecutors, the court was advised that, in 2017, the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration initiated a wiretap investigation, primarily targeting the GBK street gang and drug trafficking in and around an area known as the Greenway Projects, located in the West End of the City of Pittsburgh.

The wiretap investigation revealed that, in November 2017 through June 2018, Chrzanowski and his co-conspirators cooked powder cocaine into crack cocaine and conspired to distribute quantities of crack cocaine and heroin.

Senior U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab scheduled sentencing for Feb. 27.

The law provides for a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, a fine of $1 million or both.

An actual sentence is based upon the seriousness of the offense and any prior criminal history of the defendant.

Pending sentencing, the court continued the defendant’s bond.
