Giant Eagle lead pharmacist Gina Ciccone-Kelley measures out doses of covid-19 vaccines during Giant Eagle’s covid vaccination clinic at Heinz Field on March 2, 2021.

Appointments will no longer be needed to receive a covid-19 vaccination at a Giant Eagle in-store pharmacy.

The Pittsburgh-based supermarket chain announced Friday that walk-ins will be welcomed, starting Monday.

The covid vaccinations are open to people 18 and older. Eligible patients should bring a valid form of identification and their medical insurance information.

Specific appointment times are no longer available to be scheduled, according Giant Eagle.

Rite Aid announced on April 30 that it was accommodating limited walk-ins at all of its locations, and CVS made a similar announcement this week.
