To our loyal Trib readers: There’s now a way you can make sure Trib articles show up in your Google search results.

The feature is called “preferred sources,” and it was just launched this August as a way for users to curate sites they love.

“You can select your favorite sources and stay up to date on the latest content from the sites you follow and subscribe to — whether that’s your favorite sports blog or a local news outlet,” Google said.

Here’s how to add the customization:

  • Search for a topic that’s in the news and click on the icon to the right of “Top Stories” that appears as a small star inside of a box
  • Search and select your “preferred sources,” or your go-to news organization/organizations, such as TribLive
  • You can add or change your preferred sources at any time

“When you select your preferred sources, you’ll start to see more of their articles prominently displayed within Top Stories, when those sources have published fresh and relevant content for your search,” Google said, according to USA Today.

Once you select TribLive as a preferred source, you’ll see the latest Trib content when you search for news through Google.
