Traffic traveling on southbound Interstate 79 between the Carnegie and Heidelberg exits was down to one lane early Monday morning because of a tractor-trailer accident, PennDOT said.

One person was transporter from the scene of the accident in which a truck overturned on the highway around 5 a.m. and traffic was still reduced to one lane around 9 a.m., according to Nicole Haney, a PennDOT spokeswoman, and Allegheny County Department of Emergency Services spokeswoman Kasey Reigner. Produce was spilled on the highway.

Additional details were not available Monday morning.
